Project Superintendent

Large heavy civil contractor located in downstate IL is seeking qualified individuals to fill the position of Project Superintendent. Ideal candidates will have experience providing heavy civil construction services in both the public & private sector. Background in earthwork, underground utilities, concrete paving and concrete structures is essential. Candidates must possess a minimum 5 years’ experience at the project superintendent level. Experience working w/ DOT projects required, with ILDOT experience preferred. Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control & ability to effectively supervise large groups and manage subcontractors essential. Computer experience required. Project values range from 1 to 15 million. Responsibilities will typically be within a 50-mile radius of the central IL area. Relocation is required. Successful candidate will possess excellent organization, communication & supervisory skills, & will be highly self-sufficient in managing multiple projects effectively, including scheduling, coordinating and supervising craft employee activities.
