RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

Travel ICU RN – 13‑Week Assignment Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Wailuku, Hawaii. Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. English language: able to read, write, and communicate fluently. Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment (50‒100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Technical/motor skills: perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and work both under close supervision and independently. Sensory requirements: visual acuity and effective communication. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU. Assess and monitor critically ill patients, operate life‑support equipment, and administer advanced treatments. Administer complex medications and therapies according to critical‑care nursing techniques. Manage advanced life‑support equipment and perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance. Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhere to strict infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
