About the Role:

ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Caregiver to join their team in San Diego, CA. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with special needs by providing personalized, in-home care and support. Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on personal care and daily living assistance to clients with special needs
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
• Support clients with developmental, physical, or cognitive disabilities in a compassionate manner
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and medication reminders
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities, social interaction, and skill-building exercises
• Monitor and document client health, behavior, and progress, reporting changes to supervisors
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a caregiver, direct support professional (DSP), or in special needs care preferred
• Familiarity with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or related conditions
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references
• Strong communication, patience, and empathy skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
