Responsibilities Responsible for timely and accurately relocating inventory from the Receiving dock to either open-air reserve locations or active pick locations Responsible for using a pallet jack to perform putaway tasks in multi-level pick modules Utilize handheld devices to receive replenishment and putaway tasks Ability to maneuver equipment, navigating aisles, and using the lift mechanism to reach high racks. Adheres to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Ability to consistently meet time-based productivity standards Comfortable working in multi-level picking modules and around conveyor systems Maintains a safe work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures Supports and works in other departments throughout the Distribution Center Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment This role also entails maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the Distribution Center We believe in taking care of our team. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience operating a Reach Truck and Order Picker (Cherry Picker) Versatility within the department, encompassing various tasks such as utilizing equipment and performing RPA duties by foot Possesses strong communication skills and proficiency in utilizing radio communication Experience working in a highly automated distribution environment a plus. Knowledge of various distribution systems such as warehouse management system, radio frequency devices and voice picking preferred Arrives on time and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled shift time and committed to working scheduled hours with flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information Ability to work within and exemplify The Container Store brand which we describe as matchless, fun, authentic, team-focused and life-changing This position requires associates to stand 100% of the time and walk approximately 50% of the time with the ability to lift up to 47 pounds independently The Container Store promotes a smoke-free, drug-free environment.
