Speech Language Pathologist
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), is responsible for providing a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
- Evaluates patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through clinical assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
- Develops and implements individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings, setting measurable goals to address patients' specific needs.
- Provides therapy to improve patients' communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, and fluency, as well as swallowing and feeding abilities.
- Educates patients and their families about the nature of disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress and enhance communication and swallowing in daily life.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education: Master Degree
Experience: 0-1 years
Licenses and Certifications:
Must have and maintain a current, valid state SLP licensure
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred or required
Current valid CPR certification, preferred
Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
