Nurse SonographerThis role is part-time in our Georgia Office working two days a week.About RHM: RHM Gynecology delivers restorative medical care for gynecological, reproductive, and fertility health needs throughout a woman's reproductive continuum, puberty through menopause. RHM medical protocols always promote the dignity of the human person and prioritizes the health and well-being of the whole person.Job Overview: The Nurse Sonographer works under the direction of the medical providers and performs general gynecology and limited obstetrical sonography services. Responsibilities:Perform general gynecology and limited OB ultrasoundsPrepare exam room and ultrasound equipmentReview patient medical history and supporting clinical information prior to patient's arrivalCommunicate appropriately and effectively with the patient during the ultrasoundThoroughly and efficiently document the ultrasound visit, including any limitationsPresent ultrasound images and findings to the medical team in a timely mannerCommunicate effectively with medical providers and other staff in a timely mannerMaintain patient confidentiality and privacy as outlined by privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA)Maintain a clean and safe environment for patientsOther job duties as assigned which may include clinical duties not related to ultrasounds.On the job training will be provided for RNs without prior sonography experience or training.Qualifications:Align with the mission of RHM, which recognizes that all persons have dignity from the moment of conception until natural deathRDMS (registered diagnostic medical sonographer) or similar credentials. Will also consider training for Registered Nurses.Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage tasks within a fast-paced working environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsIntermediate computer and software skillsAbility to learn new software, including Athena and RingCentralSound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHAWorking knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)The above is intended to describe the general content and requirements for the performance for this position.
