Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst Location: US-DE-New Castle Pay Range: $54,000 - $90,000 Overview The Financial Analyst I supports the Materials Sciences Division (MSD) Finance team in delivering financial planning, analysis and business insights that enable informed decision-making across the organization. This role partners with Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Operations and Corporate Finance to support budgeting, forecast, financial reporting and performance analysis for a global business. The analyst will contribute to continuous process improvement, financial systems, and cross functional initiatives while developing a strong foundation in FP&A and serving as a trusted business partner. Typical tasks Supporting Materials Sciences business partners, Commercial teams, Marketing and R&D teams, to deliver financial performance and provide insights and analysis Assisting MSD FP&A activities, rolling forward queries and reports, posting journal entries, and completing reconciliations Assessing current financial processes and reporting to identify enhancement opportunities while embracing a continuous improvement culture Assisting with files that support the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly forecasting process with reporting to Corporate FP&A Collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional departments to drive financial controls and continuous improvement initiatives Supporting capital spend tracking and forecasting The role is hybrid 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) from New Castle, DE Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience in finance and accounting Understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP, with strong Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills Position requires strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and drive to learn the business and help solve problems in a team environment Company Description Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
