Program Overview The TRIO Scholars Program (Student Support Services) and the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program at UC Riverside are federally funded TRIO Programs. The TRIO Scholars Program serves 140 undergraduate students, providing holistic services to improve retention and graduation rates for first‑generation and income‑qualified students as well as students with disabilities. The McNair Scholars Program serves 25 first‑generation, low‑income undergraduate students and prepares them for doctoral studies through research and scholarly activities. Responsibilities Provide advising to a caseload of TRIO Scholars, including course planning, navigation of campus resources, graduate‑school exploration, and career preparation. Provide program support for TRIO Scholars, including data entry and participation monitoring. Recruit participants for the McNair Scholars Program. Collect data for annual performance reports for the McNair Scholars Program. Coordinate programming and student activities for the McNair Scholars Program. Maintain awareness that the position is grant‑funded and subject to continued grant availability; the TRIO program is in its first year of a five‑year cycle, and the McNair program is in its fourth year of a five‑year cycle. Salary The full salary range for this position is $22.65–$37.60 per hour. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $24.00 per hour. Salary offers are based on education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qualifications Applicants must have current work authorization at the time of hire. Employment visa sponsorship is not available.
