Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Neuro/Ortho/Peds) night shift position in Marquette, MI, requiring 2+ years of adult experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• Work on the 7th floor Med/Surg combination unit (Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics) of a 225-bed specialty care hospital
• 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages over 28 days, including neurological, orthopedic, and pediatric populations
• Common diagnoses include trauma, post-op ortho/neuro cases, and general pediatrics (averaging 0-3 pediatric rooms)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
• 3 weekends required every 6 weeks
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other inpatient units
• EMR: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner)

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of adult Med/Surg experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience (2+ years) preferred
• ADN or higher required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidate's permanent address must be 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
