First time travelers: NOExperience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience requiredPatient Age Group: Adults, GeriatricsPatient Diagnoses: Primarily care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patientsStaffing Ratios: Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5Weekends: Variable based on unit needsSchedule: No set/blocked scheduling. Self-schedule requests accepted to accommodate preferred schedules before finalizing.Orientation: First week: Mon-Fri dayshift. Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
