Quality Control Inspector

Pay Range: $26.00–$40.00 per hour to start + Pension Plan Schedule: Monday–Friday (2nd Shift) Opportunity to gain additional certifications About the Opportunity A well‑established structural steel and heavy fabrication manufacturer is seeking a skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support 2nd‑shift operations. This role ensures code compliance, product quality, and smooth coordination between production teams and external inspectors. Coordinate inspections between production and state/third‑party inspectors to meet required QC hold points. Perform visual inspections on materials, welds, and assemblies. Conduct layout and dimensional checks , including use of Total Station equipment. Carry out rotational‑capacity testing on structural bolts. Monitor welder qualification tests and verify WPS compliance. Interpret welding codes and project specifications. Maintain inspection logs and complete required reports. Support quality improvements to enhance workflow and reduce rework. Assist shipping to ensure loads are inspected and ready for dispatch. Required & Preferred Qualifications CWI Certification – Required NACE or BCI Certification – Preferred Strong understanding of welding codes and specifications Ability to maintain organized logs, diaries, and reports Strong interpersonal skills for resolving issues on the shop floor Ambitious, proactive mindset aligned with production and company goals #J-18808-Ljbffr Novax Recruitment Group
