Manufacturing EngineerWorking as Full-time Manufacturing Engineer - Quality, you will support the facility by working closely with all departments to promote the production of conforming products and assist in the continuous improvement of the quality management system. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Performing internal auditsCommunicating with customers to resolve issues in a timely mannerSupporting product quality planning activities and establishing inspection methodsLeading or participating in corrective action activities addressing defects and nonconformancesProviding effective recommendations for the improvement of operational methods to reduce manufacturing costs and improving product qualityPromoting and implementing continuous improvement programsThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:Possess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in EngineeringExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteHighly motivated, self-directed and customer service orientedDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsExhibit strong orientation toward continuous improvementLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
