Floor Technician - Full time (Operations)

Job Overview The Flooring Solutions Technician2 will coordinate with the leadership team to provide an exemplary level of service to our customers, demonstrating skills and performance in the use, operation, set up and repair of all company equipment. The Technician2 cleans equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and makes the needed repairs on equipment within the area of responsibility, and in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid down time. Responsibilities Clean equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and make needed repairs. Perform check‑ins when equipment is returned to the shop. Assist with loading and unloading of equipment as needed. Clean, pressure wash and prep equipment for repairs and detail equipment for rent‑ready status. Perform full‑service maintenance on all equipment, diagnose and repair most mechanical problems. Maintain a safe work environment and perform duties in accordance with safety standards. Keep track of rental equipment inventory and coordinate deliveries, pick‑ups and service calls with customers. Maintain the warehouse area. Clean, repair, order and install all necessary parts to ensure standards are met. Source and manage the inventory of parts and supplies. Complete and maintain equipment service records including damage repair, preventative maintenance and warranty processing. Ensure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned and detailed. Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record free from points. Keep records and maintain company vehicle (washing, oil changes and general safety inspection). Maintain and track company tools and supplies, and bring broken tools to supervisor for replacement. Oversee and maintain the wash bay area to ensure proper maintenance, preventative maintenance and a safe, clean work environment. Communicate professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick‑ups and service calls. Complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick‑ups and service calls. Direct customers to sign appropriate paperwork and keep track of serial numbers. Deliver and install rented equipment; train authorized operators on safe use of equipment. Implement proper and safe procedures for all tasks. Work with managers and rental specialists to maintain accurate records of in‑stock and rented equipment. Be on call for emergency service and be available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and evenings. Qualifications 3‑5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems. High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired. Must provide mechanic’s tools of trade. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to prioritize work assignments. Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Must possess a high degree of safety‑awareness. Working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements.
