Responsibilities Assume responsibility for the care and proper functioning of all lab equipment. Provide on‑call diagnostic services. Perform diagnostic procedures. Schedule testing to accommodate all patients. Provide tests and procedures according to department policy and as directed by the medical and technical director. Establish and maintain good communication with physicians, staff, and other departments. Assume responsibility for identifying indications for testing performed in the vascular lab. Help train and review performance of students in the vascular lab. Utilize resources efficiently and effectively. Maintain a safe environment. Address patient population‑specific needs. Participate in performance improvement activities. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma and at least 2 years (24 credit hours) of career‑oriented college credits in a related discipline. Each year of experience may replace 12 credit hours of college. PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Vascular Technology. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year in vascular studies. Knowledge of Doppler for arterial and venous circulation evaluation.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Must be a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT), Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS), or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). REQUIRED COURSES / COMPLETIONS: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA) and obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
