Interoperative Radiography Technologist Advanced

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, Aurora, CO Department: UCH Rad Spine Pain Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $34.53 - $48.35 per hour (dependent on applicant's relevant experience) Position type: Onsite (no hybrid or remote option) Summary Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. The advanced radiology technologist operates advanced imaging equipment to support procedural work in the OR, including surgical navigation equipment, C‑arm fluoroscopic devices, O‑arm fluoroscopic devices, and other complex surgical navigation systems. Responsibilities Reviews patient history and physician orders, schedules appointments, and educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies, selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implements safety standards, and performs quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions; positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results, identifies image quality issues, and takes appropriate action to resolve them. Enters and transmits images; may work with radiology students; operates with minimal supervision, using critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for the position. State licensure if required by law. Two years of experience, including OR or procedural navigation duties. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, card in hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must remain valid through 60 days of hire.
