About the Position

Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist Profession: Special Procedures Technologist Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: RRT licensure required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Previous Epic EMR experience required within the last 12 months. Description: Operates stationary radiographic equipment in the Heart and Vascular Center to demonstrate anatomical or physiological structures of the human body for diagnostic purposes. Produces quality images as directed by radiologists and physicians for the diagnosis or treatment of anatomic or physiologic disorders. Demonstrates knowledge of general anatomy, technical factors, CR and DR imaging fundamentals, radiation protection, and basic computer skills. Functions to work independently and cooperatively within a teamwork-oriented atmosphere. Must provide exceptional patient care and satisfaction skills to all customers. Demonstrates competence in X-ray procedures, fluoroscopy, vascular procedures, cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, and other special procedures. Call obligation required with a 30-minute response time. Averages around 12 call days, including 2 weekends in a 6-week period.
