Dental Hygienist

Part‑Time Licensed Dental Hygienist – Red Oak Family Dental Red Oak Family Dental invites applications for a Part‑Time Licensed Dental Hygienist to serve our Lake Elmo community and surrounding cities of Woodbury, Stillwater, and Oakdale. The position offers flexibility with 2–3 days of work per week, competitive hourly pay, holiday pay, PTO, sick time, dental benefits/discounts, and a retirement plan. Responsibilities Perform clinical dental hygiene procedures such as cleaning, scaling/root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Assess patients’ dental condition and develop treatment plans to prevent and treat disease. Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutrition. Take dental radiographs as required and recommended by the attending dentist. Manage dental and medical emergencies following established protocols. Adhere to safety protocols and protective measures to minimize infection risk. Document dental hygiene care and maintain accurate patient records. Use and maintain equipment according to manufacturer’s directions and practice protocols. Participate in ongoing professional development and training. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and operatories before and after procedures. Assist with clinic duties shared by all team members. Requirements Associate degree or higher from an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Current Dental Hygienist licensure in Minnesota. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome. Strong oral health promotion and maintenance skills. Proficiency with modern dental hygiene technology and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and manage multiple tasks. Availability to work part‑time on a fixed schedule aligning with office hours. Detail‑oriented commitment to infection control protocols. Professional demeanor and ethical conduct.
