- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic assessments, and developing tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently based on your credentials
- Informing patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and ongoing disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatments appropriate to your scope
- Participating in the continuity of patient care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care
- Accurate and meticulous documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capable of obtaining within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgment paired with a caring approach
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, their families, and fellow colleagues
- Flexibility in high-paced, patient-focused settings
- Proficient with EMR systems and comfortable using telehealth technologies
