Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Evanston, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/04/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position in Evanston, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with neuro and stroke needs, working rotating day/night shifts. The assignment offers a dynamic environment that requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and experience with electronic charting systems. Job Details: Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day and night shifts. Required Qualifications: Illinois licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, specifically in Neuro and Stroke, with experience in EPIC electronic charting. Must have a passed EKG test of 80% or higher at submission. Preferred Qualifications: None listed. Float: Must be flexible to float to other units and potentially other facilities such as Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenbrook. Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend. On-Call Requirements: None. Holiday Requirements: As needed. Notes: Submission must include an updated resume, Skills Checklist completed within 12 months, one reference completed within 12 months, and Illinois license verification. Orientation is scheduled on Mondays, with 8 hours paid at orientation. Credentials are due Thursday before start date.
