Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 10-Hour Evening Shifts with Short Call, Weekend Call, and Night Call Rotation | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included in expected hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties across a range of surgical specialties including Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics (Joint Replacements, Sports Medicine, and Oncology) , Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Interventional Pulmonology
• Participate in evening rotation schedule inclusive of short call, weekend call, and night call responsibilities
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for provider order entry; facility is transitioning to Epic
• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative patient care in a large, multi-OR surgical environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license (may apply at time of offer; must apply for both temporary and permanent licensure)
• CPR certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
• 1–3 years of related Operating Room experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
• EMR experience required; Epic experience preferred
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate web-based applications
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted); Influenza vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital setting
• Specialty area surgical expertise beyond core OR competencies
• Epic EMR experience
