Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

Overview Cypress Square, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related roles. This is a Full-Time opportunity on the 2nd shift (2PM-10PM) in a cutting‑edge Assisted Living Community. Responsibilities Demonstrate a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff. Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect. Attend in‑service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations. Remain calm under stressful conditions. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Maintain professional appearance by adherence to the community dress code. Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner. Report all changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor as soon as possible. Complete work schedules and assigned tasks according to the community’s policies and procedures. Operate equipment safely, using only equipment that has been previously trained for. Utilize infection control precautions and practices with all activities. Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures. Report all safety violations. Qualifications High School diploma. Minimum age of 18 years. Successful completion of a State‑Approved Medication Aide course. Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required. Ability to express oneself adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others. Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
