License: Must have valid state license prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - Telemetry experience, IV start, Cardiac & Vasoactive drips, BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen management. - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs. - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit specializes in cardiac and medical care, functioning as a stepdown from intensive care. Nurses will manage patients on telemetry, requiring strong skills in IV therapy and cardiac medication administration. Candidates must be proficient in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips and have experience with BiPAP and high flow oxygen. The work involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. The nurse-patient ratio is typically 4:1. Conscious sedation experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be comfortable with various cardiac medication protocols. Travelers must adhere to floating requirements within the facility. Previous charge nurse experience is valued. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. This role contributes to a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
