The Mitigation Technician reports to the General Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. Responsibilities Support Rebuild & Mitigation Project Managers and the General Manager as needed. Assist with subcontractor acquisition. Communicate project needs to stakeholders. Conduct site inspections for initial mitigation & rebuild losses, photograph, and document. Set up fans and dehumidifiers if initial losses require. Qualifications Fluent in Spanish and English. Construction or mitigation experience preferred; on‑job training provided. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to touch‑type and use industry related software. Mathematical skills: calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret written or verbal instructions. Physical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Frequent need to visit project sites with fire, water, or storm damage. Carry a minimum of 50 pounds to project sites. Required vision abilities: close and distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment. Work Environment Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places. Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, electrical shock, vibration. Noise level usually moderate; appropriate safety equipment furnished.
