Medical Science Liaison - Obesity and Related Conditions - Orlando, FL

Amgen Inc

Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison for its Obesity and Related Conditions division in Orlando, Florida. This field-based role focuses on providing scientific and clinical expertise to healthcare providers and opinion leaders while executing the company's medical strategy to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and population health decision-makers
Engage with clinical investigators and research sites supporting the obesity pipeline
Present balanced clinical and scientific data to institutional decision-makers on outcomes and economic impacts
Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders to inform company strategies
Lead and participate in congress activities, speaker training, and project teams supporting MSL strategy

Requirements

Doctorate degree, OR Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred; other doctoral degrees considered
2+ years Medical Science Liaison experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company
4+ years medically related field experience including clinical practice, research, or post-doctoral training
Cardiometabolic and/or obesity-related conditions expertise preferred
Strong scientific communication and relationship-building skills
