About the role A Packsize Resident Service Engineer will install, configure, and maintain Packsize equipment solutions onsite at a designated customer’s facilities. The engineer is a creative problem solver who identifies, analyzes, maintains, and repairs complex mechanical equipment and answers difficult customer questions about product features. They will execute start-up testing, deliver customer training on product capabilities, features, and general maintenance, and build a trust-based relationship with customers. What You’ll Do Schedule tasks at customer job sites Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively using technical drawings and documentation Work cross‑functionally with R&D, Software, and Quality Engineering teams Perform routine maintenance and emergency services as they arise Analyze Key Performance Indicators to identify new or ongoing machine performance issues, and perform problem-solving and maintenance Continuously learn the customer’s operational processes, packaging designs, and technical specifications Install Packsize solutions and train others to use and maintain them Perform basic clerical and administrative duties, including reading and responding to emails, submitting expense reports, arranging travel, and writing technical reports Communicate information and ideas productively with Packsize and customer personnel, exchanging accurate information in all situations Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols related to exposed moving parts and electricity Display excellent work ethic and time-management skills Operate the machine: clear jams, load Z-fold, change labels, change bander paper, and add glue as needed What You’ll Bring Customer service focus Knowledge of Windows platforms Effective use of hand tools Knowledge of mechanical platforms Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision Basic Microsoft or Google Suite experience (helpful but not required) Associate’s degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience Bachelor’s degree in a related area preferred Working Environment and Physical Demands Communicate with others to exchange information. Work within a production facility, warehouse, or manufacturing environment. Move in various positions to accomplish tasks, including in tight and confined spaces. Transport yourself great distances within and around work sites. Remain in stationary positions, often standing for prolonged periods. Work in a noisy environment at various temperatures. Move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, steps, and stools. Perform tasks that require bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, carrying, and reaching. Travel Requirements All work is performed at customer facilities. The engineer may be on call and may travel overnight. Travel by vehicle or airplane domestically as required. What We Offer Salary range: $33–36 per hour USD.
