Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to understand their functional limitations, including history-taking and physical assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans accordingly.

• Utilizing evidence-based treatment protocols to implement effective rehabilitation strategies, assisting patients in improving mobility and managing pain.

• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and changes in patient condition, ensuring optimal health outcomes.

• Documenting patient care activities accurately, including detailed initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, and comprehensive discharge summaries.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any changes in the patient's treatment needs.

• Participating in team meetings and contributing insights to the overall patient care strategy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with sports injuries, and patients managing chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida, compliant with the regulations set forth by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, showcasing a strong ability to handle diverse and complex cases.

• A valid CPR certification, ensuring preparedness in emergencies that may arise in a clinical environment.
