Location(s) Houston, Texas; Humble, Texas Overview Kemper is a leading specialized insurer, serving modest‑income families for over a century. This position is for a Life Insurance Sales Agent working full‑time on the field. Responsibilities Conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales. Prospect for new sales opportunities. Maintain strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre‑arranged schedule. Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans. Record keeping, accounting for money collected, and processing policy paperwork. Grow assigned territory through new sales. Build strong working relationships with customers. Devote the necessary time to fulfill role responsibilities. Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness. Qualifications Customer service experience. Minimum 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage. Dependable vehicle for daily travel. Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening. Authorization to work in the United States. Licensing and Training For new unlicensed agents, the first step is a paid training period that provides tools and guidance to study for and pass the licensing exams. Once licensed, the agent is assigned a book of business with existing customers, earning a percentage of the premiums collected and commissions on new sales. The onboarding development program combines self‑study, classroom instruction, and field mentorship from a Sales Manager, followed by on‑the‑job training while earning a paycheck.
