Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

Location: Onsite/Hybrid - Houston, TX or Tampa, FLEmployment Type: Full-TimeExperience Level: L1 / L2 (Junior to Mid-Level), 5-7 yearsAbout the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and proactive L1/L2 Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to provide day-to-day security support, monitor and manage critical security technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to protect our organizations digital assets. In this role, you will serve as a frontline defender, handling routine security operations, incident triage, endpoint protection, and tool administration.Core Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day cybersecurity support to the organization.Monitor, manage, and support security tools and technology from a security standpoint.Work closely with MSSP / SIEM for incident management and escalations.Support network and perimeter security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.).Support endpoint security and endpoint protection (EDR/AV).Support data loss prevention (DLP).Support cloud security (Google Workspace, Google Cloud, SaaS, AWS).Support O365 security.Assist in VAPT, remediation tracking, and corrective action.Assist in security incident handling and coordination.Support identity and access management (day-to-day operations).Monitor security changes, patches, and configuration compliance.Work with IT and business teams on security initiatives and projects.Maintain thorough documentation and reporting.Must Have Skills & Technical Experience:Candidates must possess hands-on knowledge and experience with the following platforms and tools:Delinea, Proofpoint, Threat Locker, Netskope, Sentinel One, CISCO Meraki, FortinetActive Directory & GPO, Fortinet firewall, Okta, Google Cloud Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, Mobile Device ManagementQualifications & Requirements:Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience).Experience:5-7 years of total experience in an Information Security support role including 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity operations experience.Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, CISSP or equivalent security certifications.Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills combined with clear technical communication and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
