Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder\'s Houston, Texas office is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join our Red River CoMET team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing. Responsibilities Performing testing on concrete, soil, and other construction materials in accordance with applicable standard test methods Reporting verification of conformance to approved plans and specifications Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, technicians, and other design professionals Maintenance of Kleinfelder\'s local lab accreditations Perform field observations and testing on materials testing projects to verify conformance to the construction plans and specifications Submitting daily field reports and data reports summarizing daily activities Requirements and Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of laboratory experience in CoMET or equivalent Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to use a company provided laptop or iPad and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Authorization to work in the United States Bend and lift up-to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.) Preferred Certifications American Concrete Institute (ACI) Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Education High school diploma or equivalent with some college preferred.
