Operating Room Surgical Technologist

Job Summary and Qualifications The Operating Room Technician demonstrates knowledge of surgical instruments and principles of sterile technique. The Technician anticipates the needs of the surgical suite within the scope of the position’s competencies with critical thinking. The Technician adheres to hospital policies and procedures, is supervised by the Registered Nurse, and collaborates with the surgical team to improve patient satisfaction. The role is supportive and will be implemented as the needs of the department require. Qualifications Graduate from a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent vocational/technical training. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Minimum of one to three years of surgery tech experience preferred.
