Test Automation Specialist – Enterprise Applications

Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview

The Test Automation Specialist will be responsible for supporting quality engineering initiatives across enterprise applications and integrated business systems. The consultant will design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions while also contributing to manual testing, business process validation, and defect management activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical testing skills, experience with Tricentis Tosca, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of enterprise testing standards and automation strategies.
• Analyze business processes and system requirements to develop effective test scenarios.
• Design and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
• Configure automation components and execute test suites across various environments.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Ensure test scripts remain aligned with business process changes and system enhancements.
• Manage test data required for automation execution.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure test environments are available and stable.
• Log, analyze, and track defects using established quality assurance processes.
• Validate defect resolutions and perform regression testing.
• Maintain test artifacts, execution results, and quality documentation.
• Develop testing metrics and dashboards for management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or test automation.
• Experience working in hybrid manual and automation testing environments.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test execution, defect management, and quality processes.
• Experience analyzing and documenting end-to-end business processes.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into testing deliverables.
• Working knowledge of enterprise business functions such as Finance, HCM, Logistics, and Treasury.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Tricentis Tosca automation experience, including Tosca Commander and TBox.
• SAP and SaaS enterprise application testing.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration testing.
• Experience with change impact analysis.
• Knowledge of Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar automation tools.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or VBScript.
• SQL and database validation experience.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Tricentis Tosca certification preferred.
