Required Qualifications:
- Able to pass background checks, including drug testing
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Personal experience with mental illness mandatory
Primary Job Duties
- Work one on one proactively with consumers on Certified Peer Support treatment plan goals outlined by client’s treatment team
- Provide shared life experience to inspire hope
- Provide one on one support to consumers in activities of daily living or in maintaining daily routines critical to progression of recovery
- Support consumers in community activities
- Monitor and document progress toward meeting goals
- Provide peer support during consumer crisis and/or upon hospital discharge
- Facilitate/Co-Facilitate Certified Peer Support groups and Psychosocial Rehabilitation groups
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
