Junior Buyer

This role is responsible for managing purchasing and vendor coordination across equipment, materials, and subcontracting. The position supports procurement operations by issuing POs, processing invoices, and ensuring pricing accuracy while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The individual will handle change orders, track deliveries, manage vendor performance, and support internal teams with timely and accurate procurement processes. A strong understanding of purchasing systems and cost controls is key, along with the ability to stay organized and responsive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, accounts payable, or a related field
• High school diploma required; coursework in Business, Economics, or Management preferred
• Experience with purchase orders, invoice processing, and cost verification
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (JDE, IFS, GP, or similar)
• Ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and track deliveries
• Strong attention to detail with experience reviewing invoices against POs and documentation
• Comfortable handling change orders, warranty items, and vendor credits
• Proficiency or ability to quickly learn systems such as Finvari, AFE, Bidtracer, or similar tools
