We are looking for a Sr HVAC Technician to work in Des Moines, IA supporting our client.

About the Role

Are you an experienced HVAC technician ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for a Senior HVAC Service Technician to join a growing, customer-focused team. You'll work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, including hot water systems, DX systems, chillers, and more, across a diverse territory.

This role balances technical expertise with hands-on service, and it's ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while supporting a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including hot water, DX, chillers, cooling towers, fan systems, VFDs, and low voltage controls
• Conduct equipment inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance
• Provide technical training and support to clients and team members
• Identify opportunities for new services and solutions
• Travel within the assigned territory (Dubuque to Waterloo, Burlington, Grinnell, eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri to Minnesota)
• Maintain accurate service records using company laptop and mobile systems

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of HVAC experience, expertise in hot water, DX systems, chillers, VRV/VRF, and low voltage controls
• Valid HVAC license and EPA certification
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in confined/elevated spaces.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License

Nice-to-Have:

• Daikin training, experience with VFDs
• Industrial refrigeration, technical training or certifications beyond high school
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory
• Previous experience in large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.
