Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled pharmacist is sought to promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process and resolving drug-related issues in an inpatient hospital setting. The role involves working with patients ranging from infants to adults, ensuring safe and effective medication use in accordance with hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication doses based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and potential drug interactions to prevent medication incidents.
• Accurately enter medication orders into the EMR system (EPIC) to ensure safe administration.
• Confirm the correctness of all dispensed medications, maintaining a record free of dispensing errors.
• Ensure timely processing and delivery of medication orders, adhering to established guidelines.
• Follow and enforce aseptic technique and infection control protocols during sterile product preparation.
• Oversee technicians and pharmacists in maintaining infection control standards, including annual recertifications with a minimum 90% score on relevant assessments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Texas pharmacist license.
• ACPE IV Certification required.
• Minimum of 2+ years recent inpatient pharmacy experience; pediatric inpatient experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of hospital inpatient pharmacy operations and medication safety protocols.

Schedule:

• Start Date: September 21
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Dayshift hours: Three 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), including rotating weekends.

• Based in Magnolia, TX.
