Registered Nurse – Same Day Surgery Location: 110 N Poplar St, Oxford, OH 45056 Work Schedule: Part Time Days – 48 hours bi‑weekly Weekend, holiday and evening call rotation Position Overview: This RN role will rotate through Admissions, PACU, Recovery and Pain Management. Responsible for preparing patients for procedures, recovering patients, and educating patients and families prior to discharge. Position has rotating call, close days and holidays. Works with a strong team in a very patient‑driven environment. Job Requirements: Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS); ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit or department Registered Nurse licensure required Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle Must have recent inpatient nursing experience of 2–3 years minimum Job Responsibilities: Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines. Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes. Provide safe, ethical, patient‑centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy. Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs. Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy. Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions. Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery. Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives. Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed. Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self‑assessment.
