Contract Interventional Radiology Tech Traveler (Internal) Internal Traveler positions are: compensated competitively with other traveler positions, available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, and are offered in 13-week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks. One-time $2,500.00 incentive pay with first 13 week assignment.

The Role As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will support diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures by preparing patients, maintaining sterile technique, operating imaging equipment, and assisting physicians throughout complex cases. Your day-to-day work includes:

• Supporting a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, from vascular and nonvascular interventions to emergent and scheduled cases
• Preparing procedure rooms, imaging equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for high acuity and time sensitive cases
• Positioning patients and operating fluoroscopic and related imaging systems to produce high-quality images that guide real-time clinical decision making
• Maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique standards
• Anticipating physician and team needs during procedures to promote efficiency, safety, and optimal outcomes
• Communicating clearly with patients and families to explain procedures, reduce anxiety, and support a positive care experience
• Collaborating closely with interventional radiologists, nurses, anesthesia teams, trainees, and other allied health professionals
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and supporting the academic mission through interaction with students and residents

An average day may include scheduled procedural cases, emergent add-ons, trauma-related interventions, and coordination across multiple clinical teams. The pace is dynamic, the work is hands-on, and the impact is immediate.

Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required; Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred. Must be eligible for ARRT (VI) certification. Experience: experience required; 2 years Interventional Radiology experience is preferred. Licensure: Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required. ARRT (VI) certification required within one year of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to, fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay rate for this role is $88.00 hourly. This position is compensated at a fixed rate. Compensation is established in accordance with the position's approved pay structure.
