• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within specialty and lower acuity as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience; Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
• BLS required
• NIHSS required
• CPI required
• ACLS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience in a community hospital or observation unit preferred
• Ability to float within scope and support lower-acuity patient care needs when assigned
• Comfort working in a fast-paced telemetry nursing environment with a 1:5 patient ratio

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele observation unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to nursing standards and hospital protocols
• Complete comprehensive assessments, reassessments, and accurate documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient care and discharge planning
• Perform common Med/Surg Tele nursing skills including oxygen therapy, IV starts, line care, dysrhythmia monitoring, and isolation precautions
• Adapt to changing census, patient flow, and staffing needs while maintaining excellent patient care
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach throughout the travel nursing assignment
