Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience License: Current state or compact nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience in a general emergency department with adult and pediatric patients. - Ability to manage cardiac monitoring and emergency responses, including dysrhythmias. - Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including central line care and management. - Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors. - Competence in respiratory care for CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilated patients. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the emergency department. The position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The nurse will be part of a fast-paced environment with a standard patient ratio of 1:4. The role requires management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure. Candidates must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. The position may involve holiday shifts and charge nurse assignments as needed. Weekend shifts of 8 within a 6-week scheduling period are required. It is essential for applicants to have experience in a STEMI certified facility and be familiar with stroke care. Floating between departments and units may occur as necessary to meet facility needs. The position will offer the opportunity to work closely with interdisciplinary teams. Additional preferred skills include management of arterial lines and compliance with isolation precautions. Patients may present with typical emergency department diagnoses, including occasional obstetric cases.
