BRW Contracting, Inc. is a Central Florida full-service site development company located in Land O' Lakes. Our services Includes land clearing and grading, underground utilities, concrete, and asphalt. We have been in the market for more than 20 years offering equal job opportunities.
We are looking for a Jr. Survey Party Chief who is ready to take the next step in their surveying career. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Instrument Man (I-Man) or Survey Technician who is ready to become a Party Chief but hasn't had the opportunity at their current company.
Responsibilities
- Lead a two-person survey crew on construction projects.
- Perform construction staking, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and layout.
- Operate GPS and robotic total station equipment.
- Utilize Carlson Survey software for field-to-finish data collection and stakeout.
- Read and interpret construction plans and survey data.
- Collect accurate field data and complete required documentation.
- Communicate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
- Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Instrument Man (I-Man), Survey Technician, or similar surveying role.
- Experience using Carlson Survey software.
- Proficient with GPS and robotic total station equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and survey data.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record – Company truck is provided.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical work.
