Alant Health is seeking a dedicated Director of Patient Coordination responsible for overseeing and optimizing the patient intake and patient scheduling process to ensure seamless and high-quality patient experience. This key leadership role will support efficient clinical flow and resolve day-to-day patient coordination challenges, particularly those impacting Nurse Practitioner (NP) schedules.
Focus on Quality, Not Quantity:
With a manageable caseload of 16-20 patients weekly, you'll have the time needed to provide thorough, personalized care.

Responsibilities
- This is a working leadership role, requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on support.
- The Director is expected to step in as needed to maintain continuity of care and operational excellence.
- Lead and improve the patient intake process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive patient experience.
- Supervise staff to include performance management, training, recruiting, and counseling.
- Develop and implement workflows, policies, procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure consistent clinical support standards and adherence to protocols.
- Partner with clinical leadership to align workflows with provider needs.
- May be required to prepare medical charts and transpose medication information from a state-wide medical exchange.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational issues impacting NP workflows.
- Coordinate and manage NP schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage and flow.
- Must have proficient computer skills to input data and access electronic records, as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and abide by HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree healthcare administration, business, or related field, preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, patient coordination, or clinic management.
- 1+ years of leadership experience, preferably overseeing intake, scheduling, or clinical support staff.
- Strong understanding of outpatient clinic workflows and patient flow management.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and scheduling systems
- Medical Assistant (MA) license or certification required.
