Cardiac EP Technologist (Electrophysiology Tech)

A 267-bed hospital in Fort Walton Beach, Florida is seeking a Cardiac EP Technologist to join its clinical team. The facility offers an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery services, and a full emergency department that includes a dedicated pediatric ER and two freestanding ERs. This is a full-time, on-site position with a daytime schedule and rotating weekends.

Working under general supervision, the EP Technologist prepares patients and equipment and directly assists physicians in performing electrophysiology procedures. The position involves caring for patients across a broad age range, from adults through geriatric populations. The technologist is responsible for operating specialized EP equipment with a sharp focus on delivering the highest level of technical quality throughout each procedure. New graduates with the appropriate credentials will also be considered for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for electrophysiology procedures
• Directly assist physicians during the performance of EP procedures
• Operate specialized electrophysiology equipment with precision and technical excellence
• Provide care to patients across a wide age range, from adult through geriatric populations
• Maintain a safe and organized procedural environment throughout each case
• Ensure the highest standard of technical quality during every procedure
• Document procedural details and patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow all established safety protocols and clinical standards within the EP lab

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of recent acute care EP Tech experience required; new graduates will also be considered
• Associate degree required
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist credential, or Registered Radiographer through ARRT with a Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist credential required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
