This will be accomplished by utilizing various manufacturing methodologies including but not limited to Lean Manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, 6S, TOC, and problem solving.Essential Functions: Maintain, monitor and develop systems relating to ISO, AS9100, NADCAP and other similar industry standardsDevelop and maintain Quality systems with the customer and manufacturing to ensure delivery of quality productsDevelop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished productsDirect involvement with advanced NDT development, training and implementation on strategic engine programsDrive cost improvement and productivity initiatives throughout the Quality Assurance and inspection functionsWork with engineering and operations to identify root cause for all internal and external non-conformanceResponsible for review of customer drawings, specifications, etc. to identify customer quality requirementsPrepare inspection instructions for radiographic, fluorescent penetrant, grain etch, visual and dimensional inspectionPerform audits to monitor product quality/ISO requirements and support manufacturing/inspection training activitiesEnsure a high level of internal and external customer service including customer issues and complaints relating to qualityCoordinate production procedures in cooperation with other plants to maximize product reliability and minimize costsQuality investigations as required to identify and eliminate scrap/rework causes and customer issuesInterface with customer representative for source inspections and quality issue resolutionMaintain Quality Assurance records required by both the company and the customerDesign, develop and implement quality control training programsMaintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement teamsQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering2-5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering role, or 6 to 8 years general quality experience in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of SPC and machine shop gaging requirements.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)./*generated inline style */ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./*generated inline style */ This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
