Thrift Store Associate
Pay: Starting at $15.00/hour
Schedule: 4 days per week, including Saturdays (required)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Thrift Store Associate to join our team. This position involves unloading and processing donations, maintaining a clean and organized store, and assisting with general day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, works well independently, and can identify tasks that need to be completed without requiring constant direction. Responsibilities
- Unload and sort donated furniture, clothing, and household items
- Lift and move bags of clothing weighing up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Assist with organizing and stocking merchandise throughout the store
- Perform general janitorial duties, including:
- Dusting
- Cleaning windows
- Vacuuming
- Maintaining overall store cleanliness
- Organize and maintain storage sheds and backroom areas
- Ensure donated items and inventory are stored safely and efficiently
- Support other store operations as needed
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Comfortable performing physical labor throughout the workday
- Previous retail, warehouse, thrift store, or janitorial experience is helpful but not required
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, or
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Starting wage of $15.00 per hour
- Opportunity for a wage increase after 60-90 days based on performance and reliability
