We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and ensure a smooth checkout experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming checkout experience
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash register or POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with questions about products or services
- Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and security
- Support team members and help with other tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus (but not required)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift light merchandise as needed
