OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Sterling Heights, MI by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

HMD Trucking is recruiting experienced OTR solo CDL-A drivers from Sterling Heights, MI to operate dry van equipment on nationwide lanes. Expect predictable long-haul miles in late-model tractors (under 3 years) with sleepers, APUs and inverters and the backing of in-house maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver freight across interstate routes while following HOS, ELD and DOT requirements.
• Perform vehicle inspections, document defects, and assist with minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate logs, bills of lading and open communication with dispatch.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable driving experience.
• Commitment to safe, on-time service and professional conduct.
