Community Size: 72 Units
Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Schedule: Full-Time
Start: ASAP
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of a 72-unit multifamily community in La Porte, TX . This is a hands-on position for someone who can confidently handle day-to-day maintenance needs while keeping the property, grounds, work orders, and turns running efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have previous multifamily Maintenance Supervisor experience , an EPA certification , and strong knowledge across multiple areas of apartment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform daily maintenance operations for a 72-unit apartment community
- Complete and manage resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Handle plumbing repairs , including leaks, faucets, toilets, drains, and water-related issues
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting , including outlets, switches, fixtures, breakers, and basic electrical systems
- Complete apartment make-readies/turns , including inspections, repairs, punch-list items, and preparing units for new residents
- Perform general carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repairs, and other apartment maintenance
- Maintain and troubleshoot property equipment and building systems
- Handle groundskeeping and exterior property maintenance
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and routine property inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept community
- Prioritize and complete maintenance requests based on urgency
- Maintain accurate work-order and maintenance records
- Coordinate with property management regarding larger repairs and property needs
- Help ensure the community remains rent-ready and inspection-ready
- Maintain a professional relationship with residents and respond to maintenance concerns with excellent customer service
Required Qualifications
- Previous multifamily Maintenance Supervisor experience REQUIRED
- EPA Certification REQUIRED
- Strong hands-on apartment maintenance experience
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs
- Experience completing apartment turns/make-readies
- Experience with work-order management
- Comfortable performing both preventative and emergency maintenance
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license preferred
Ideal Candidate

The right candidate should be comfortable going from HVAC troubleshooting to a plumbing repair, completing a make-ready, handling a work order, and maintaining the grounds —all while keeping the community operating smoothly.
