Registered Nurse School Setting - Buffalo, NY

You'll provide essential medical care and promote a healthy environment for students ages 3-18, working onsite at potentially any public or private school within the district. Your expertise as a registered nurse will be crucial in maintaining the health and safety of the school community.


Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS) is required.
• Experience in a school nursing, pediatric, LPN, or LVN capacity is highly valued.
• Strong familiarity with NYS health requirements for youth in educational settings.
• Confident in providing assessments, routine screenings, and first aid in a school setting.
• Capable of caring for students across a wide age range (3-18 years).
• Flexibility to be assigned to various school locations as needed.
• Committed to in-person, onsite service; virtual work is not available for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine nursing care and emergency interventions to students and staff.
• Conduct mandated health screenings and assist with state-required health reporting.
• Monitor and manage student health records and collaborate with educational teams.
• Support daily medication administration and management of chronic health conditions.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in accordance with state and district guidelines.

This contracted opportunity runs from May 18th through June 30th for the ESY program, with a strong chance of renewal for the next school year with successful placement.
