Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• BLS Certification
• 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
• For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
• Current CST certification
• At least 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Experience with general, urology, ENT, and OBGYN case types
• Comfort with open abdominal cases
• Willingness to be trained in C-sections, total joints, podiatry, and endoscopy cases

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1700
• Operating hours: Monday-Friday, 0700-1730
• Works 10-hour shifts with a rotating day off
• Weekend call required, typically every 4th or 5th weekend
• Weekday call required, typically 1-2 call shifts
• Average of 6-7 call shifts per month
• Response time for call is 20 minutes
• May float to inpatient areas as a task person or helping hands without taking a patient assignment
