Job Description The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, timely processing, maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department/physician practice/hospital to address patient questions or concerns. Maintaining knowledge of insurance requirements, Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) pricing, financial assistance options, and overall BHSF Revenue Cycle operations. Practices the BHSF philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians and community members. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.28 - $20.68 / hour depending on experience. Responsibilities Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient and timely processing of patients. Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, pricing, financial assistance options and overall revenue‑cycle operations. Apply the BHSF philosophy of service excellence in delivering professional, compassionate, and friendly service to all patients. Implement department and physician practice procedures to address patient questions or concerns. Qualifications Degrees: High School, certificate, GED, training, or experience. Complete and pass the Patient Access training course. Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced work environment and perform basic mathematical calculations. Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology. Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR applications, etc.) and accurate typing skills. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, Medicare coverage structure and medical necessity compliance guidelines. Bilingual English and Spanish/Creole preferred.
